Margin Pledge / De-Pledge process flow

Pledge Process:

The customer can access the Margin Pledge / De-Pledge window as below mentioned.

a. Tick Pro Mobile: Margin Pledge / De-Pledge tab in the menu list.

b. Tick Web :  Portfolio – Holdings  -- Margin Pledge / De-Pledge.

c. Tick PC : Secure URL --- Margin Pledge / De-Pledge.

d. RSM Web : Reports – Holdings – Margin Pledge / De-Pledge.

 

 

Client shall be able to see the below window upon calling the Margin Pledge / De-Pledge option.

Below is the illustration of the interface fields.

1. Pledge All – This will help you to select all the stocks for pledging in one go. Once it’s is selected and if you want to exclude any particular stock you can click on the Radio button which shall uncheck the stock from Pledging.

2. De-Pledge All - This will help you to select all the stocks for De-pledging in one go. Once it’s is selected and if you want to exclude any particular stock, you can click on the Radio button which shall uncheck the stock from De-Pledging.

3. Stock Symbol – By default this shall display the NSE Symbol of the Stock, in case the stock is only listed in BSE then it will display the BSE Stock Symbol.

4. ISIN No. --- This field shall display the ISIN No. of the stock that you are holding.

5. Quantity – This field shall display the Holdings quantity.

6. Pledged Quantity – This field shall display the quantity which is already pledged.

7. Free Quantity – This field shall display the quantity which is available of either Pledge/De-Pledge.

8. Margin Benefit – This field shall display the Margin benefit which the client shall get upon successful pledging of the stock.

9. Pledge pending – This field shall display the quantity which you had requested for but still the pledge process is not yet completed.

10. De-Pledge pending – This field shall display the quantity which you had requested for but still the De-Pledge process is not yet completed.

11. Action – The action field highlights the Pledge / De-Pledge action as what preference the customer had selected. The action also acts as a Submit button which is given at the bottom of the interface.

12. Total Margin Benefit – Displays the margin benefit customer shall get upon successful pledging of the stocks.

 

 

Key Important points to note:

 

1.   At a time customer can place a either Pledge or De-Pledge request for a particular stock.

2.  De-Pledge request shall check for Positive Net Margin of the client, In case the client net margin is in negative or the sum of De-Pledge value is lower than the available net margin then the request of the client shall be rejected then and there itself.

3.  All accepted de-pledge requests placed shall be processed at the end of the day subject to realisation.

4. The pledge request needs to be verified on the CDSL side on the same day when you had requested for Margin Pledge, If in case you fail to verify the CDSL process then the very next day again you will have to place a fresh Pledge request and follow the steps subsequently.

 

 

Pledge Marking Process:

 

The Margin Pledge / De-Pledge interface shall look as below mentioned.

 

Suppose customer wants to Pledge single stock for Margin benefit then customer needs to click on the check box in front of that particular stock and click on Submit button as shown in below screen.

Upon click of Submit button the confirmation window shall appear as shown in below screen, here the client needs to click on confirm so that the request shall be taken and sent to CDSL for further processing.

Once the request if confirmed the request is sent to CDSL wherein the CDSL team shall send an Email and SMS on the clients registered email and mobile number. The email and the SMS shall carry a link which the customer needs to open it in a browser. The CDSL link which shall open shall be as below mentioned.

In the above screen you would need to either pass the PAN Card No. Or the Demat Acount No.and click on Submit button.

 

On click of Submit the below window shall open wherein you shall be able to see the holdings which you had requested for Pledge.

On clicking on generate OTP an OTP shall be sent on the clients registered email address and mobile number.

A   4 digit OTP shall be sent by CDSL team on the clients registered email id and mobile number and needs to be passed in the OTP window and click on submit button and then acknowledge the consent given by CDSL team as shown in the above window.

On click of ‘Ok’ you will get a message as “Selected transaction verified successfully”.

 

 

With this you have now successfully completed the Margin Pledge process, The system shall take 10 to 15 minutes of time to display you the Margin benefit in the limits window of your trading account.

 

De-Pledge Marking Process:

The Margin Pledge / De-Pledge interface shall look as below mentioned.

Suppose customer wants to Pledge single stock for Margin benefit then customer needs to click on the check box in front of that particular stock and click on Submit button as shown in below screen.

On click of submit button the following confirm window shall appear, on clicking on confirm button the request for De-Pledge shall be accepted.

With this you have now successfully completed the De-Pledge process, The de-pledge request shall be processed at the end of the day subject to realisation.
